What people ask us
How far is the shop from South Elgin?
We're about 9 miles from South Elgin. The address is 54 N Western Ave, Carpentersville, IL 60110, and most people come in off McLean Boulevard.
Do you take walk-ins from South Elgin?
Yes — walk-ins monday to friday. It's first-come, first-served, so if you're driving over from South Elgin it's worth calling ahead on (224) 650-7775 so you're not sitting in the waiting area.
How much will my tattoo cost?
It depends entirely on size, placement and how much detail is in it, so the artists quote properly rather than guess off a price list. Send the idea through and you’ll get a real number back. Military discount: 25% off.
How old do I have to be?
You have to be 18 with valid photo ID, and there are no exceptions to that in Illinois. Bring the ID with you — we can't tattoo you without it, however far you've driven.
Can you cover up an old tattoo?
Usually, yes — cover-ups and reworks are regular work here. Whether it will work depends on what is already there, so send a clear photo through the form and an artist will tell you honestly rather than sell you something that will not sit right.
